By accessing or using Yard Genius ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Yard Genius provides AI-powered landscape design concepts, plant palette recommendations, and related content based on user-submitted photos and preferences. Designs are generated for inspiration and planning purposes only.

You are responsible for:

• Providing accurate, appropriate photos and project information.
• Ensuring you have the right to upload any photos submitted (e.g., your own property or with owner consent).
• Not submitting photos containing personal identifying information of others without consent.
• Using outputs for personal planning purposes only — not for resale or misrepresentation as professional landscape architecture services.

Yard Genius outputs are generated by artificial intelligence and have inherent limitations:

• Designs are for inspiration and planning purposes only. They are not a substitute for consultation with a licensed landscape architect or contractor.
• AI may produce visual inconsistencies, incorrect plant recommendations for specific microclimates, or layouts that require professional adjustment.
• We do not guarantee any specific outcome from implementing an AI-generated design.
• Always verify plant safety, local regulations, HOA rules, and site conditions before implementing any design.

Yard Genius is a software tool, not a licensed landscape design firm. Use of our AI-generated designs does not constitute a professional landscape architecture engagement. We are not liable for any damages, costs, or consequences arising from implementing our AI-generated recommendations.

You retain ownership of photos you upload. By uploading, you grant Yard Genius a limited license to process your photos through AI services to generate your designs.

AI-generated design concepts are provided to you for personal use. You may share and use your generated designs freely.

Free plan includes one yard design and one plant palette. Pro plan is billed monthly at $7.99 and provides unlimited designs. Payments are processed by Stripe. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis — contact us at yardgenius.app@gmail.com.

You may delete your account at any time from the Projects dashboard. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Yard Genius shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Service.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance.
